Cycling and chafing to the South of France.

“This is really going to hurt.”

Hello my name is Robert Easton. I was diagnosed with advanced kidney disease in September 2025 and since then my life has been an emotional rollercoaster. My doctors aren’t able to tell me how long I will remain healthy or when I will need a kidney transplant. What I do know is this, I need to do something and that something is to raise as much money as possible to help people who find themselves in a similar situation.

Our challenge sounds simple; cycle over 1300 kilometres from my home town of Shipston-On-Stour to Céret in the South France. However, when your kidneys are only working at roughly 40% percent and you’re a man who is built for rugby not cycling, simple it most certainly won’t be…

my biggest reason for doing this challenge

Hello!

My daughter Olivia suffers from hydrocephalus.

After three brain surgeries she has reduced mobility to her right side. This has resulted in Cerebral Palsy.

She struggles with balance and needs one of us with her at all times, for both physical and emotional support.

Harry’s Hat is a small, family-led charity founded in 2018 and is dedicated to improving life for children and young people with hydrocephalus.

They need funds to raise awareness, support better treatment, campaign for earlier diagnosis, and connect families so that no family faces hydrocephalus alone.
